OPERATION: SOLID LIVES (OSL) is a highly effective, proven system of discipleship that has been written, tested and refined—time and again for over 20 years—to maximize its ability to impact individuals and accommodate masses of believers who are genuinely hungry for God’s word.
Check out the testimonies of genuine life-change from students who have experienced the freedom and joy that comes as OSL teaches you to abide in God’s word.
OLS is a combination of specific disciplines that create a clear path to dramatic life change. For a mere few weeks, you will eliminate or limit many of the harmful and unnecessary habits and influences in your life, and replace them with activities that will fill you with God's work and bring you closer to Him.
So what makes OSL students grow so quickly?
"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4
In OSL, you will fill your heart with God's word in a variety of ways. You'll begin to read a chapter of the Bible daily. You'll listen to powerful teachings, learning about the incredible depths of Jesus' love for you, and the freeing truth that you are right with God through Jesus. You'll also memorize 1-2 scriptures each week that correspond to the messages you are hearing.
"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly..." Psalm 1:1.OSL helps you to turn down the 'noise' of the world as you fill your heart with the word of God. During an OSL class you will limit your intake of secular media to 2 hours per week. This includes TV, internet, books, magazines, videos, video games, etc. For many this will free up additional time that you can invest into your discipleship journey.
John 8: 31,32 "Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, 'If you abide in my My word, you are My disciples indeed. and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.'" In OSL we learn HOW to abide through the weekly disciplines of reading, listening to, and memorizing the word of God. His truth will flood your heart, and as He promised it will bring freedom. Sin and bondage will begin to fade away, as they are replaced with confidence, peace, and joy.
Growing in our relationship with God is not automatic. OSL gives you a clear path to see radical growth and change happen in your life, but only if it is mixed with some essential ingredients.
So, what does it take to experience supernatural change?
Mark 8:34 "...Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." To follow Jesus and be transformed into His likeness, requires making significant changes in our life. The disciplines of OSL will help you to make these adjustments when accompanied by a willing heart and good attitude.
Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." The power of God’s word to transform a life from the inside out is foundational to OSL. If you will open your heart and allow His word in, it will change the way you think, the way you feel, and even how you act.
Galatians 6:9 "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." Discipleship requires our time, effort and diligence. Make a commitment from the beginning and see it through to the end. A wise person will excitedly embrace the OSL disciplines as part of a necessary process for change and growth.
Before you get started, you need to choose whether you would like to lead a group of friends to gather weekly and go through a Level of OSL together or to take it by yourself. Choosing to take the class as a group is recommended as the most effective path. Understandably, there are some who simply don’t have the ability or community to do so, and for them there is OSL for individuals. The best way to experience OSL is at a local church.
